The Viking Sorceress

"Vølvens Varsel – Vikingerne og Verdens Undergang" is the name of the National Museum of Denmark's spectacular Viking exhibition staged by Kasper Holten. Through an encounter with the viking sorceress, people are invited into the mystical world of the Vikings and are given the opportunity to delve into their thoughts on existence–and in doing so, reflect on their own.

The visual direction focused on crafting an evocative silhouette of the mythical woman using only a few objects known to be associated with her. The concept was developed in close collaboration with historians from the National Museum of Denmark.
